Land development is the only work we do.
Bailey Engineering partners with experienced developers shaping some of the fastest-growing communities in the Treasure Valley. Our projects are visible, long-term, and consequential — neighborhoods people will live in for decades.
We are structured, process-driven, and deadline-focused. Our developer clients expect clarity and execution — and we deliver both.
We are seeking a Land Use Planner who knows how to move projects through approvals — someone who reads codes, builds clean application packages, and walks into a planning commission hearing prepared.
What you would own.
You would coordinate land development projects from feasibility through approval — preparing applications, navigating local regulations, presenting to planning commissions, and keeping projects moving through the entitlement process. That includes:
- Preparing rezoning, conditional use permit, plat, and site plan applications
- Routing development documents through agency review
- Conducting site analyses, feasibility research, and constraint mapping
- Presenting proposals to planning commissions and city councils
- Coordinating with municipal planners, engineers, attorneys, and agency departments
- Building relationships with agency decision-makers
- Anticipating and pre-empting agency concerns before submittal
At Bailey, "Own It" means you know what is due, who depends on you, and you address issues early — professionally and directly.
How we operate.
We operate with structure and predictability. We solve problems directly and professionally. Our core values drive performance:
Continuous Improvement
We measure, refine, and strengthen how we deliver.
Own It!
We take responsibility for deadlines and outcomes.
Do the Math
We think before we draw.
We Not Me!
We collaborate above the line.
If you thrive in environments with clear expectations, professional standards, and accountability, you will thrive here.
