Civil Project Engineer (EIT)
Civil Land Development

Eagle, Idaho · In-office · Competitive + bonus

About Bailey

Land development is the only work we do.

Bailey Engineering partners with experienced developers shaping some of the fastest-growing communities in the Treasure Valley. Our projects are visible, long-term, and consequential — neighborhoods people will live in for decades.

We are structured, process-driven, and deadline-focused. Our developer clients expect clarity and execution — and we deliver both.

We are seeking a Civil Project Engineer (EIT) who wants real ownership, structured mentorship, and a clear path toward licensure inside a firm that invests in the people who grow with it.

This is a growth role — not a drafting seat. Bailey Engineering
Section 01

What you would own and learn.

You would support and progressively lead subdivision and civil land development projects across their full lifecycle — concept through construction. That includes:

  • Grading, drainage, utility, and roadway design for residential and commercial subdivisions
  • Civil 3D production and plan-set development
  • Coordination with Survey, Operations, and local agencies
  • Supporting senior PEs on developer communication
  • Construction support and field coordination
  • Progressively assuming independent project responsibility

At Bailey, "Own It" means you take responsibility for the work on your desk — and you expand that ownership over time.

Section 02

How we operate.

We operate with structure and predictability. We solve problems directly and professionally. Our core values drive performance:

01

Continuous Improvement

We measure, refine, and strengthen how we deliver.

02

Own It!

We take responsibility for deadlines and outcomes.

03

Do the Math

We think before we draw.

04

We Not Me!

We collaborate above the line.

If you thrive in environments with clear expectations, professional standards, and accountability, you will thrive here.

Section 03

What success looks like (first year).

  • Independently producing civil plan sets for subdivision projects
  • Earning EIT certification, if not already obtained
  • Building working relationships with agencies and project teams
  • Contributing to three or more active subdivision projects
  • Demonstrating initiative for increased responsibility
  • Making clear progress toward PE-track milestones
Section 04

Growth path.

This role is designed as a PE-track position with structured mentorship. Depending on your strengths and ambition, growth may include:

  • Direct mentorship from senior Professional Engineers
  • Progressively increasing project ownership and client exposure
  • Support toward PE licensure
  • Transition into independent project leadership

We are building intentionally — and we invest in people who are committed to growing with us.

Section 05

Qualifications.

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • EIT certification — held or obtainable within six months of hire
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated; able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Valid driver's license
