Hailey is the Blaine County seat and the largest city in the Wood River Valley, positioned on State Highway 75 between Bellevue to the south and Ketchum to the north. It is the valley's principal year-round residential and commercial center and carries most of the county's workforce housing demand, with active development pressure along both the Big Wood River corridor and the foothills on either side of town.
